A Game of Thrones is an Impressive Bestseller and Television Project
"A Game Of Thrones" is the first book in the "Song of Ice and Fire" collection and is my first venture into George R.R. Martin’s world. Prior to being introduced to his work, I was primarily a Robert Jordan fan. Upon reviewing A Game of Thrones, I realized that I was missing out on a substantial part of the high fantasy genre.
"A Game Of Thrones" is the first book in the "Song of Ice and Fire" collection and is my first foray into George R.R. Martin’s world. Before I was presented to his work, I was mainly a Robert Jordan fan. Upon checking out A Game of Thrones, I understood that I was missing out on a significant part of the high fantasy book category.
From starting to end, I was not sure whether I really was enjoying the book. The plot was intriguing enough. If it’s worth anything, I invested a number of sleep-deprived nights reviewing A Game of Thrones! Now that I reflect, I would say that the intricacy of the characters and the plot as a whole is what made me hold back. Various other fantasy books generally specify the line in between wicked and good people. We have the good characters on one side and the evil powers on the other. George R.R. Martin handles to mirror reality by highlighting the moral gray locations. Characters are not boxed into single moral classifications. There is no clear protagonist. A "great" character is not entirely likeable. An "wicked" character can seem to be a nice person on the within. Bad and great is so maddeningly linked you can’t see a representation however help of the real life.
This book is not for the faint of heart. If you are trying to find light reading, without violence and sex, you may not wish to read A Game of Thrones. When I thought Martin was overdoing it a bit, there were times. I chose I would simply chalk it approximately creative freedom. But, for numerous readers, this practical portrayal of what life between ages, which appears to be the time duration for this series even though it happens in the fictional land of Westeros, belongs to the book collection’ appeal.
One discouraging facet of guide is that as the tale proceeds, it seems that the "good" guys are getting killed off one by one. , if that isn’t really enough to make you depressed I don’t understand what is.. Obviously this is only the first book in a yet uncompleted collection -the story is yet to unfold.
The storyline is gripping. It leaves you yearning more. One benefit about finding this collection at this late date is that you will not have to wait for the next few books to be written. A Feast for Crows, the fourth and newest book of the series, has actually been out since last year. You may want to take your time so as not to have to wait too long for the 5th book as soon as you begin with A Game of Thrones. Although at 1000 pages each, the earlier volumes in the series will keep you reviewing for rather a while. read more
